An extremely slow novel I’m currently at ch 339 story sill really hasn’t picked up but so far it’s been enjoyable Characters are really fleshed out , mc is slow too power, schemes,

Incredible tale of grit and gore. Probably won't ever get translated fully, but if a webnovel translator ever sees this message, I would appreciate it massively if the ending was explained in as few words as possible (and maybe posted on reddit or something). There are a few hundred chapters left to translate, but I think it could be summarised in a few pages. Until then (most likely never) I'll have to do with piecing together mtl. Many thanks to the translator/s who took it this far, and to Cold Glamor, who produced this masterpiece.

It's an interesting novel and a breath of fresh experience

~ Let me begin with the death sutra : "The soul rises to the nine heavens, the spirit falls to the nine abysses. The living suffers in grief, the dead settle in peace.” This novel here is basically set in a dog-eat-dog world where everyone's extremely cruel not because they want to but because they need to. People and clans are wiped out not by superhuman strength but by poisoning them to death or butchering their loved ones to break their defences. The story follows a pampered boy belonging to a wealthy family whom had his entire family slaughtered in a single night. The irony here though is the fact that he's found by few slave traders and forced to be sold to the very assassin's clan that butchered his entire family. There's no supernatural powers here, no system, no op grandpa. The mc gradually adapts to the brutal and bloody world around him in few chapters and starts manipulating people step by step to get his revenge and he does this in unpredictable ways that always makes the reader go mad by thinking about it.

This is one of my favorite stories if not the favorite.

This story is good but there is too much filler and I can't stand that the author always gives me handicap every single time. even when mc kills the enemy is dissatisfied.

This was an amazing story that i would absolutely love to finish. This is one of the better stories I have had the opportunity of starting and would be great if they continued the translation. PLEASE FINISH THIS NOVEL!

This novel is dropped hence the lower rating. I personally did not like this story as I do not usually like pure martial arts stories. This was however interesting so u might like it if u like these types of stories.

What happened to the translation? Did it stop? Someone pls tell me I don't want to read something that just ends in the middle. Cus this novel looks appealing

I loved the World building, cultivation system of the story. At first I was cringed by gruesome violence but after some time I get used to it. It is unique story of assassination world where mc has to take revenge to assassin's king for his family.

It's been a while since I found a good Wuxia novel that wasn't Xianxia. Not that I have anything against immortals, but I am absolutely in love with wuxia because it's the tale of ordinary people and their journeys. This novel is wonderful, and shows the true brutalities of life, which I really appreciate.

From the back story to the side plots, and from the main plot to the character development this story is one of the best developed stories (of the many books, comics, and mangas) that I’ve read. With its many twists and turns, this story keeps the readers interests peaked from the very first page. The length of the novel is a bit intimidating but the side plots and character development alone are enough to make you turn the page over and over and over again. Unlike many similar stories the MC is not OP or a pushover as he slowly bides his time and makes calculated and risky decisions with luck (God’s Will) as well as working to be a master in martial arts. The only negative side of this story, besides the fact that it is unfinished, is the repetitive mix-up of the Xu siblings and Shanguan family names. It is highly disappointing that the website says the novel is complete.

This is the first time I am writing a review for any of the story. I am simply gonna say it is fantastic story but the translator says it is discontinued. I am surprised how can other bull**** stories continues but not this one. I just want to read more even though English is not my first language.

Although revenge is what fuels the story ( which is not to my taste), the main character is one of the only likeable characters I came across in this type of genre. All characters are life-like and world building is very well made. There are a lot of schemes going around that I can’t make out what is going to happen next, but that’s what makes it so interesting. It’s a very good read so I rate it 5 stars.

author portray the life of our mc and other character brilliantly but if you can't appreciate it go read some idoit mc killing random young master it might be your cup of tea.
