While an interesting premise, the story itself leaves something to be desired. If you are looking for something different then this might be something to look into, though the more sensitive readers might object to the casual racism used extensively throughout the series. Please be aware that the story was left unfinished, or if the last chapter was supposed to be a conclusion, then has a rushed and inconclusive ending.

enjoyable, right up to just ending with no warning at 260. I've heard the book actually goes up to 400 elsewhere before being abruptly dropped by author. would not recommend

I am only at c15, but the amount of racist comments here already gives me face-palm. Yes the MC are totally unlikeable but seriously, calling him racist just because he misheard 'Bonjour'? I really don't understand people that reading Chinese novel just to keep making racist comment toward Chinese people. For f sake, here is 5* from me as a middle finger toward all of you f racist a hole.

This novel is an absolute trai wreck. If you are on for a quick read and are able to turn your brain off while doing so, read it since it can be enjoyable. Skimming though it without really losing much. That ends the good points. I honestly hate the use of thw word trigger and find it idiotic, but I find myself forced to say it. Trigger warning. The author of the novel although I'm unsure if racist they are 100% staunch nationalist. Which result in the novel being full of hateful and discriminating comment about people of other countries. The main character is also extremely patronising with an extremely disgusting mentality. In short he is willing to do anything for profit. Women in the novel are treated as worthless which is ironic considering the author actually puts in the novel some lines about the struggle of women in an extremely patriarch society in Japan. The pan calling the kettle black. The plot is barebone with some interesting developments towards the later chapters, but sadly its all cut short. The idea behind the novel is curious, but not exactly original. Like I said at the beginning. This novel can be read and somewhat enjoyed if you are able to cover your eyes at the blatant disrespectful attitude of the MC and the political propaganda of the author. Even then the translation qualities varies in quality with some chapters being basically worst than mtl. So, what I'm trying to say is that to be able to read this novel, one should first lobotomise itself.

Story and writing but the MC is written like they're a 14 year old though supposedly he's in college. Just the typical boring "I wanna be rich, have beautiful girls around me, blah blah blah". Pretty much the same as 80% of other stories being released and recommended on here.

this is one of the worst books I have ever read. the beginning of the book was great. But as the chapters went on, the main character just became a cocky arrogant asshole that fought everyone with his fists and threatened them to get his way. And always being "lucky" enough no one called the police or have the law be useless against his murders. the mc also has anger issues and solves every issue by flying into a rage and threatening to kill the other person even if it is a innocent salesman. The author has water in his brain and obviously does not understand how society works. this is a book meant for the brain dead.

This novel is horrible. The MC is idiotic and can’t think things through at all and the other characters are very unlikeable. Thats not even taking into account the racism and nationalism in this novel. Voting for it was a huge waste of energy stones.

Wow. I'm just saying, at first I was pretty hyped up because it was similar to I Can Turn into a Fish, and even though it has a 3'5 I was willing to give it an opportunity. But the reviews are a huge turn-off. Racism? Mysoginism? A pervert MC? Please, no. Just no.

Overall this is a good story, its not too long like any typical chinese web novel. But the plot here isnt that twisted, or i would like to say this is rather flat. It would be better if the mc would be a pirate king ;)

Yes I have heard the warnings and was mentally prepared to only pay attention to the story BUT.... for one the MC is a massive turd, he is like the embodiment of a racist Chinese. Stupid and lazy at first, then after aquiring some wealth and power, he immediately become the most arrogent person in the world, considering neighbor countries' people like trash and mess with other people likelyhood because he doesnt like them!!!! MC is trash, story is somewhat interesting at first but the lizard legs incident turn me off big time and the final straw is that the author repeatedly label Vietnam people "ugly" and "VN monkeys" the moment they show up

There is a comic with the same eel that I never started to read.

I've completed this novel and as a warning, the ending is not an ending and just leaves everything hanging. The novel has nonsense science, dumb MC, poor research by the author, Engrish, and wrong translations. There's also a lot of racism so be prepared if you read this.

Just starting rwading here and i am hook up to the story. it has a very interesting opening and it can peak your curiosity towards the synopsis. I like it and expecting more for this novel.

Absolutely trash. After reading it few chapters in it started getting annoying and with no logic what so ever. Mc behaves like a child. (i believe author is one). And there is no logic what so ever. Since when did eels started growing limbs, sharks getting 16 m long, that's almost 3 times to the actual ones in real life.

the ending of this novel left a lot things hanging, its more like it got dropped instead of actually ending. like what was the whole point of the author introducing the police women that had a one night stand with mc and revealed a bit about her mysterious past near the end of the story, and then theres also like 3 other women whom seemed important to the story but literally never showed up again.
