Nothing I deeply regret more than reading this entire novel although the ending is satisfying that’s about it MC IS DUMB(like a toddler throws a fit when he can’t have his way and complains about unfairness instead of adapting to it)doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions repeats the same mistakes the entire novel never learns so many people died protecting him when all he had to do was be either lowkey or humble but he adopts the most insane arrogant personality I’ve ever read although he’s the greatest genius he forgets he’s still weak also refuses to join any sect the whole novel although he always gets bullied because he has no backing the literally whole novel but whenever he gets in trouble he finally decides to join a sect to protect him where if he did that in the first place could’ve avoided everything OP amounts of face slapping “ JUNIOR YOU DARE” OP amounts of arrogant young masters and elders ONLY interesting characters are the imperial advisor(king),yu sheng and gu dongliu(if that’s the right name I remember)and bai liu, the empyreans and the cottage master .the entire novel is ONE dimensional. Read up until he leaves the cottage then immediately drop to avoid potential brain rot there are some nice moments like the incorporation of music and the friendships and hood fights probably y I didn’t drop it when I should’ve but the cons heavily outweigh the pros

Another excellent xian xia novel like AGM. great progression and world building. A bit cliche plot but still well written so is enjoyable for those dont mind.

I've been following this particular Author since his first Book (PMG) hit the shelves. Everyone of his works is a masterpiece. This one too didn't disappoint, it's just that he left us on a cliffhanger in the spinoffs. That shouldn't be done if he isn't ready to continue any further. Anyway this novel is great.

this is the best story I have read. it starts small and gradually increases the stakes to match the characters . I couldn't stop reading it .am sad it's ending
