CANDI STARED INTO HIS dark brown eyes. Every so often they warmed. And right now he could have burned her with a look. Her insides bubbled and rolled. She clenched her jaw shut to keep from opening her mouth and saying anything.
He'd figured out her guess. It had taken her all night to arrive at that conclusion. She'd had more data to weigh and consider than he did. But in the end, she really didn't think Nadine could leave the states. If she did, anyone who captured her would be far too eager to extract other secrets from her. Nadine was in a position of power here. She had options.
"What do you say, Candi?" Q asked when she didn't answer him.
