'You are seriously doing this?' Aurora looked at me with wide eyes, and I smirked at her inwardly.

'Of course, I was in no mood to joke today. Told you, don't joke with me earlier, didn't I?' I asked her and she gulped, looking at me warily.

I looked at the alpha in front of me who was staring at me, probably waiting for my explanation as to what I was doing here on his balcony and why I couldn't use a normal method like civilians but had to take the hard way.

"So?" He looked at me.

"Hello? Your voice is not clear, sir. Do you think the council is helping the royals and I should -" I watched Alpha Maverick's gaze shifting to the phone in his hand.

I followed his gaze, a smirk appearing on my face.

So the council was helping the royals? Why didn't I know anything about it? I scoffed inwardly, wanting to know more about it. Why? Because he probably didn't even know he was talking about me.
