"So, what's the news?" The man clad in the blue cloak with his face hidden behind the half hoodie, asked as soon as he saw the men he had sent for the work returning with a displeased look on his face.

The subordinate paused, looked at his boss, and took a deep breath.

"It's exactly like you had predicted, sir. The bandits we hired just to check if Maverick had indeed arrived alone or with his team of bodyguards, did their work," The subordinate said, letting his sentence hang vaguely.

The man in the blue cloak scoffed. His lips curled up in a smirk as he ran his index finger up and down the shining blade of his sword.

"Let me guess, he has come with his bodyguards, right?" He asked.

The subordinate hummed and the man laughed without any humor.
