Amelia turned to look at Shadow as soon as he escorted her out.

"Are you not going to say anything?" She asked. 

The Beta narrowed his brows at the woman, their childhood friend. 

"Say what?" He asked. 

Amelia pressed her lips into a thin line. 

"Say something about the alpha's decision to choose that girl? That girl… I don't know how to put things, but she is in trouble. I heard about everything that has been going on before I returned and even tonight— Didn't you see those witches?" Amelia asked. 

Shadow didn't say a word. 

He just looked at her for a few seconds before turning around, ready to leave. 

"Shadow, I am not saying all this just because I love Maverick and want to marry him. I am looking out for the pack. Can't you guys see that this girl is not so simple? The witches who don't talk to anyone come to meet her," Amelia said.
