MAVERICK'S POV

I know she was shocked by the revelation of the truth. I didn't want to reveal it to her like this, either.

I had thought it out—to surprise her and catch her red-handed when she was in her cat form—but how was I supposed to keep control over my overflowing emotions after what the mainland witches said to me?

I still can't forget their mocking smiles when they looked at me. 

An hour ago~~~ 

"What about her? If you already know about her, you must also know what is happening around her. Is there a way I can help her?" I asked the mainland witches. 

"Help her?" Miranda asked me if she were surprised I would ask something like that. \

But why would she give me this kind of reaction? 

Shouldn't I be asking precisely that as someone who loved his woman?
