Chapter 147: What was the curse?

VALENCIA'S POV

"Don't you think you are being too sweet?" I asked Maverick as he brought candy floss for me and he smiled.

"I don't see a problem in spoiling my woman," he said, flicking my nose as we stood at the tourist spot where we could see all the cliffs and hills. It was a good destination indeed.

The clouds felt like they were moving below our feet. Breathing in them was a bit hard, but it felt refreshing and now that I stood beside Maverick with his hand holding mine, I don't know what this feeling was, but it almost felt equivalent to something I have never gone through. 

There is so much beauty in this world that we neglect because we can't come out of our comfort zones and take an extra step to observe it. 

Wasn't this exactly what was wrong with all of us?
