What time was it?
How long have I been walking?
Will I get caught?
Can I find-
Little lights flashing, I walked towards it.
Feeling slightly cold. Cold in the inside, my fire, inside me, warmed me up automatically. It felt nice.
I saw a small town up ahead, I made my fireflies dissipate. Walking towards the town while being cautious, still, anybody could pop out, out of nowhere and catch me. I looked at the sign to the left of the town and read it to myself "Lin- Linheim.. I hope this place isn't too bad," I then realized, there was a gate. Metal, "Man this sucks." I just remembered that I have a superpower now.
Feeling heat on my hand, I put it against the metal, the metal turning a bright red. As if it was melting because it, was, melting. Soon enough, a voice yelled from inside the town "Stop! Kid!"
"Oh shit." As I immediately stopped, but my flames still burning through the metal, the man who yelled, two seconds ago, was already behind me? "What are you doing here?" ... Wait a sec, how did he-
I felt something smack against the back of my head. It fucking hurt. Falling down, almost passing out. Hearing another voice, a young voice. Female, "Christ compelled you!" My vision, turning a blur.
A voice, very rough. "You watch too many shows, damn brat. Take this kid inside"
I'm assuming, me.
Losing my consciousness. I didn't know what else happened after getting hit by something.
From my view, holding a thick bible, looking down, on the other kid and then looked at the gate, "Hey, this kid has fire powers. Right?" Watching fire melting the gate, the old man, shooed me away. I picked- no, dragged the boy into the house. I even tried to set up things for when he woke up, wet cloth. Either for torture or for relaxing his wound.
I woke up, on a bed. Not my bed, it was very comfy. As I sat up immediately and I saw a girl around the same age as me. Preparing something at a table, looked to be some cloth. "Um, hello?" I said to her, the girl turned around slowly and giving me a small intense glare.
" Well... Shit, what did I even do?" I said with a little alarm in my voice.
"Hey, you know your a complete idiot right? Trying to burn through the metal, just to enter the town. Jesus; anyways my name is Isabella and now who-"
"Hey," An old raspy/rough voice, I could recognize it. The old man. "Don't say the lord's name in vain," He looked tough, like a boxer or a veteran. "You better tell us who you are or I will have Isabella shock it out of you."
"So, does that explain the wet cloth?" I asked with a sense of satire humour.
They both nodded at the same time, creepy.
My thoughts, "Escaping isn't an option. Fighting is a bad idea. Talking my way out, could be my only option." The thing is...
