Ye Xiu was still speechless. He looked in awe at Su Mucheng and knew that she was the one behind it. Then he continued enjoying this sight.
After looking around at the arrangement of troops for some time, he also realized that there was someone else pulling the strings.
When Ye Xiu was called to assess Light Flow, he quickly discovered that it is a new player whose individual skills cannot match the pro player yet. However, he was impressed with the tactics that heavily relied on the player's strengths. It was almost as if Light Flow could see the personality of the players behind the character and always found the right person for a task. This was clearly visible when Steamed Bun was assigned to take care of Luo Ji in their first fight. It was a matter of personality rather than just technical skills.
In terms of tactics, Light Flow was on the level of a master tactician. That's what Ye Xiu believed.
He arranged a call with the player of Light Flow who was called Jiping. When they called, Ye Xiu was a bit surprised to find out that this person is a woman. Ye Xiu barely expressed his surprise and already got scolded why does he think that it had to be a man playing.
It made sense that someone so sensitive towards other players' personalities, skills, and emotions has to be a woman. In general, women have higher emotional intelligence, which makes them more suitable for leadership positions than men. Unfortunately, they usually lack the confidence or ability to assert themselves and that's why there are unfortunately mostly men in leadership positions. However, Jiping obviously didn't lack in these areas and had an extremely high emotional intelligence and also a sense of tactics.
When Ye Xiu asked how she gained so much tactical knowledge, she told him that it was thanks to her grandpa who was a general. They played many strategic games from her early childhood.
The biggest surprise came when Ye Xiu discovered that all these leaders with different classes were played by her. She was gradually exceeding her own records with other accounts and that's why nobody noticed her standing out.
It also explained her lacking individual skills. It was caused by constantly switching between all classes. It helped to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each class but already long ago she reached the time when it was necessary to focus on one class.
Ye Xiu believed that the unspecialized would be the right class for her.
"Can she play as unspecialized?" Ye Xiu wondered in his head.
"Theoretically yes, but practically no." he answered himself. There was a difference between knowing something in theory and actually being able to do it.
Ye Xiu changed his mind when he saw as Light Flow called out names of skills to individual players. That already demonstrated the ability to think in different classes simultaneously at high speed. That persuaded Ye Xiu that she had the great potential to become a new unspecialized and thus he decided to accept her as his disciple. Ye Xie was the best coach for her, and also the only possible who had experience with unspecialized.
"Ha, let's keep it secret from other teams!" that's what Wei Chei said when Ye Xiu informed him. Wei Chei imagined the surprised faces of pro-players when they realize that Ye Xiu has a successor.
No one expected that there could be another unspecialized, not even Ye Xiu. Wei Chei suggested that Steamed Bun could inherit Lord Grim. He was aware that it would make Steamed Bun so much more dangerous but also equally more dangerous for his teammates. It was too risky.
Jiping as Ye Xiu's successor would cause even more trouble to opponents and with her abilities, she would just multiply the strengths of other Happy team members. She would become a new master tactician.
"Please make a passage for Happy team members!" Smiling Lake commanded guild players. Smiling Lake was just one of the accounts that belonged to Jiping. She had one for each class in various guilds.
Happy team with Lord Grim at the front headed towards the boss. A strong team could wait longer before acting. An even stronger team could act as the first one.
Other teams figured out that they must not let Ye Xiu get near the boss and blocked the way. This time, Ye Xiu chatted with other pro-players when he encountered them.
Smiling Lake commanded their guild players to get near the boss and surround him from all sides.
Usually, there would be the main tank in heavy armor who would get aggro of a boss while clerics healed him and a small group of players would deal the damage. The fight would take for hours.
In this fight, however, Lord Grim had the aggro of other teams, especially pro-players. And the boss was being attacked by hundreds of players who were getting killed rather quickly but there were always other players behind who could take their place. Jiping's commands were still keeping the order and she had the overall situation under the control. Even Ye Xiu discovered that he might not be able to match her in this kind of this large-scale fight. The health of the boss was also dropping extremely fast and there was no doubt which team dealt the highest amount of damage. The winner of the boss fight was decided here.
When I joined TKA Fanfic Writing Contest, I had an idea just for a few chapters but it quickly expanded for more. Then there were too many things that I wanted to write about. However, I also decided to keep the story compact so that all things are nicely linked together. I hope that it has succeeded and you enjoyed it as much as I did while writing it (despite that I even pulled a few night shifts to have time to finish it). I might be considering continuing writing later.
As this was my first story, I will appreciate any feedback from you :)
This's an experimental test for reading assistance in case.
We highly recommend you to enjoy the beauty of the original words.
