Synopsis

Guided by Cadence, an AI with the voice of a ghost and a wit sharp enough to cut glass, Iris crosses a wasteland where metal is currency and energy is life.
Every fragment she takes makes her stronger, faster, less human.
And somewhere between the silence and the static, she has to decide whether being human is as important as surviving.......

The novel is very good, and the writing style is engaging and detailed, capturing the reader’s attention. However, I think the story could use some minor adjustments to better clarify the world and make the characters feel more realistic. I am confident the author can address these points successfully.
Apologies in advance for this shameless author review : yes, I’m reviewing my own story, and no, I have absolutely no shame. This is the tale of Iris: part human, part machine, all confusion, stumbling through an apocalyptic wasteland with Cadence : The ironic, sass-laced AI living rent-free in her head. What begins as gritty survival slowly mutates into a story of growth, chaos, questionable decisions, and increasingly unhinged humour. Iris gets stronger, Cadence gets snarkier, and together they fight scavengers, machines, and occasionally each other’s patience. If you enjoy deadpan comedy wrapped in emotional turmoil, cinematic fights, character evolution, and an AI who gives better insults than advice, you might actually like this mess.
