Chapter 172: CLXXII. The Sacred Chamber.

"The… The void disappeared!" Lancelot spoke, getting up and approaching Vanilla. "We did it! We passed the trial!" 

"...For a moment I thought we were not coming out from there alive," She said, taking a deep breath and stretching her muscles. The physical exhaustion had disappeared, although all of her body felt numb and tingly. "What a race, wasn't it?"

"You'll have the best stories to tell your grandchildren, girl," He responded, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Gotta say William would be proud of you. He chose right."

A mild smile formed on Vanilla's lips. But she knew that it was not over yet, and she still had not avoided what her direct ascendant warned her about: Nihil. 

"Behold," Q bypassed them. "The Sacred Chamber."
