Could it be that those moons really existed, and telescope tech was not advanced enough yet to discover them, or were they only inventions and speculations of Cookie? The girl had revealed many eccentric details about outer worlds that humans knew about very little to nothing. They also could have been mere hallucinations the girl saw.
