Chapter 34: Chapter Thirty Four

Alex parked her car right behind her brother's car. She fixed her slightly messy bangs and grabbed the paper bag that contained the dress she wore last night when she went to her ex-boyfriend's engagement party, before finally getting out of the car. She smiled politely at the security guard at the gate of their house when the middle-aged man continued to stare at her as if to confirm it. Yeah, her face must have started to appear on television because of the interview last night right after exiting the ballroom.

"I am home!" she exclaimed, which was immediately greeted by her brother's wide grin.

"Mom! We have a famous person inside our house!"

Alex immediately turned around when she heard her mother's laughter from inside the house. "How about you prepare the red carpet for this famous person, Ace?" she replied fiercely.

The man chuckled, and without replying to his sister's words, he walked towards the dining room.
