Adrian glanced at his watch and frowned. His spouse was surely taking a long time. It had been half an hour at least since they separated in the resort lobby. Persisting that he would take care of the check in and their luggage, Alex had sent him off to the lounge with a threat (because Adrian was determinedly helpful like that).
Aimed for older guests, the lounge felt laid back with soft jazzy tune but with dimmed lights nonetheless for a more intimate atmosphere. He took his seat by the bar, an empty shot glass in front of him served as the proof that Alex was seriously taking too long. He pulled out his cell phone, about to call her, but suddenly a glass of whiskey was served before him.
"From that woman," the bartender pointed when he raised an inquisitive stare. He looked to the side… and saw a familiar figure sitting a few stools away from him. His words practically died in his throat when he saw the coy smirk and seductive stare.
"May I join you?"
