It was another regular and rainy day in Chester field city. The wind was just as violent as the lightning as it thundered in the clouds. Kelvin, a student of Chesterfield High was lost as he looked through the window. The school dismissal bell was ringing continuously, to signal the end of the school day, but he didn't seem to notice. He kept on looking at the sky as lightning after lighting flash through the clouds. Feeling a slight tap on his shoulder which brought him back to reality, he turned to see his best friend Carl, who was quite tall and has a really curly dark brown hair.
"Hey Kelvin, if you are done staring into nothingness, can you come let's get going schools dismissed",
"oh am sorry I didn't notice, let me quickly grab some books,"
after that the both of them headed towards the school entrance to get so umbrellas because the weather was still pouring down and it didn't seem to be stopping any time soon. Not long, they were outside the school on their way home.
"We dismissed from school really early today", Kelvin said.
"Yeah it must be because of the rainy weather", Carl replied as he looked at the clouds.
"It is quite a heavy downpour",
"yeah you are right plus I don't really like rainy days".
They talked about a few other things until they arrived at Carl's house.
"So this is my stop, are you sure you don't want to come over?" Carl asked.
"Yeah am sorry but I have to be home soon or my mom will be worried, and it doesn't look like this weather will come around soon so I think I should head home". Kelvin answered.
"Ok suit yourself, see you at school tomorrow." Carl said as he turned and left.
Kelvin waved his friend goodbye and walked towards home which was just a few blocks away. 'Wonder what's on the menu when I get home.' Those where his thoughts as he passed through an alley way leading to his neighborhood. Meanwhile, high up in the sky, deep in the clouds were two mysterious entities. One, with a razor sharp set of teeth, blood red eyes, sharp claw like hands that are red in color, a dark reddish skin and horns on the head, with large pairs of wings on the back. The other one was covered in lightning that sizzled out of its body, and had a pair of wings made of lightning. Both of them faced each other and the tension between them shows that they had been fighting for some time now. Not waiting for a second the lightning covered entity closed the distance between the two of them and fabricated a lightning whip out of nothing and slashed it at the horned creature. Not having the strength to dodge the whip due to the injuries sustained in the fight, the lightning whip circulated around its neck. With its attack having worked successfully the lightning being pulled the horned creature towards its self and launched a super charged lightning punched hard on the face of the creature. The force of the punch ripped through the clouds as the horned creature fell towards the ground with tremendous speed.
A loud rumbling sound in the sky distracted Kelvin from his thoughts, as a huge bolt of lightning hit the ground a few distance ahead of him. The force of the blast sent him flying backwards and crashing hard on the ground, knocking down a pile of trash cans and dropping his umbrella. Still dazed by what just happened, he looked and saw a huge crater formed by the lighting blast. At first Kelvin thought he was hallucinating but he was quite sure that he saw a shadowy figure in the middle of the crater. To clarify his doubt he went forward to get a clearer picture. In the middle of the crater was a creature with dark grey skin, fiery blood red eyes, sharp set of teeth, a pair of wings and two scary looking horns. He was filled with sudden dread, petrified that he couldn't move, Kelvin tried to shout but he couldn't find his voice.
"Am too weak to continue, at this rate I will die, I need to regain some strength to continue".
The creature said in a deep dark voice, as it turned its head searching for something until he saw him. Kelvin quickly turned and made a run for it, but either he was too slow or the creature was too fast because it was standing in front of him. It dashed with great speed towards Kelvin and he braced himself for a hard and painful impact but instead he got none, slowly opening his eyes, to see the creature turn into a dark mist as it entered his body. Kelvin didn't really remember what happened next, only that he felt himself losing consciousness.
