MC is a COMPLETE pushover. Trust me, I am not talking about MC listening to or doing things for his family. That is normal imo. But this guys is getting pushed around by EVERYONE. From complete strangers to kids, anyone can come around and treat this MC like their dog.
For around 180 chapters or so. It's a pretty good novel. The premise is great. Our mc has the foreknowledge about the world and seizes all opportunities. However, after reading past that point, it's getting more and more obvious that there are glaring holes in the plot. It's like the author wants the mc to be the underdog, but the mc's foreknowledge makes that impossible, so they need to actively sabotage him. He constantly goes from being "super smart" to making subzero IQ decisions when it matters. >!Absorbing whale glue -> intentionally absorbing weaker rings Getting ALL of the spirit herbs -> giving all of them away getting spirit bones -> giving them away getting divine inheritance items -> giving them away< It's getting tedious to read this. Especially, since his sister is getting everything he's discarding. It could be justified, if we got to know her as a person, but we're not. We know nothing about this character whatsoever. There is nothing to empathize about, I couldn't care less about her.

Having a spear martial soul is very rare in soul land fics so I fully recommend this one which is like a breath of fresh air. But the problem is mc helps his family way too much which is very irritating. The mc's sister feels like a npc who only receives help from him without giving anything in return which makes the plot more unbearable. On the other hand, it has many many interesting developments which I won't spoil for you but it will makes it worth your time. By the way guys can you tell me your favourite martial soul in soul land? I like the Angel Martial Soul and Clear Sky Hammer martial soul what about you.
not going to lie this was a big lit down i read 234 chapters it just keep getting worst he keeps letting everyone push him around calling him trash in his own house he's level 97 can't even beat a 100k soul beast without help he has a gold level body soul and over 6 100k soul rings he's ass he keep letting people that say that they going kill him in his face in he says is not my problem wtf is this at this point.

Mc is weak as ass he got like two ultimate's gold and strength and at level 98 he's ass creeks and he's not one hitting them like wtf is going here he got like six 50k ring is like six of five 100k or or over 100k soul rings so how the hell is he not one hitting them please tell me how this makes any sense at all has the author did he or she not read soul land before like he got pretty much a god level spear and a body soul that's at gold like this is getting out of hand at this point he's called a bitch every single chapter at this point by weakling's he all he say is let them be for most 240 chapters at this point like wtf is this.
here review after 231 chapter, author affraid to kill tang hao, tang xiao and tang san, clear sky sect always escape when they clearly defeated, and its to much for me when i read chapter 231 tang hao, tang xiao and tang san saved by 800.000 year beast di tian with nonesense reason

The story had good potential but the MC is so blind and selfish that it loses its appeal very quickly, the summary makes a point of saying not a Tang San follower but fails to mention they demonize Tang San and everyone around him after stealing all the opportunities that were meant for San then bends over and takes it from Soul Hall like good little followers leaving everyone else out in the cold to suffer.
The story is good, but from the RAWs, it is clear that the story is trying to prolong the story by making the MC less decisive.
I've read most of this novel's RAW chapters. The author wanted to extend the novel's runtime, so the MC wasn't as decisive as he should've been.

A good Soul Land fic. It's not exceptional but it's really good and the best part is that the fact that it's translated is only noticeable by some small errors that sometimes appear. The story itself lacks the problems that the vast majority of Chinese fics have, which makes this one of the rare ones that can be read without going through major rage attacks due to completely ooc characters or something like that. The only big problem with the fic is that the MC seems to be the only one with a brain and common sense, but on the other hand this is in line with what I remember of Soul Land so it's not the fic's fault... Other than that I love how the MC does a good job of reasonably pointing out the hypocrisy of Tang San and other characters without really seeming to become a bashing fic. Finally, it's worth mentioning that many people complained about MC not getting a better second soul ring to keep a low profile, as well as complaining when MC for very reasonable reasons decided not to risk a 10k+ fourth soul ring (although he ended up getting one due to a beast that was worth the risk). So if you're someone who really cares about Min Max even in the early stages that aren't very relevant in the long run, this might end up bothering you.
I read this work on a Chinese site and I can say that it is very high quality. Of course, not without flaws. One commentator earlier mentioned the disproportionately unbalanced development of the family and literally feeding his sister with a golden spoon, although the main character gave a lot and gave up a lot for them. I read the raws, it has like 360 chapters and I read 250. I found too many things frustrating so I dropped it. It's got many interesting things, and some takes and developments I really liked. The mc's twin spirits, cautious nature, and extremely powerful development, to name some. Then there's the development of the mc's family. It was kind of ridiculous, compared to the amount of nerfs the mc willingly forced upon himself, his family was getting stronger at a ridiculous speed, far beyond what their talent should allow. Not to mention the amount of benefits the mc gave up to give to them. The worst case is the oc, his younger sister, who's the reason why I dropped it. For real, she got way too much. She basically got handed innate full spirit power, a ridiculously high talent. She got soul bones, immortal herbs, and other things left and right with basically no character traits. Poseidon was forced to choose her over mc by Asura and that made no sense considering Poseidon chose Tang San in the original even though Asura was against it. Afterwards, her strength development is far too fast, getting benefits one after another, levels higher than even the original Tang San. The last straw was Skydream. A million year old soul ring, a ridiculously strong second martial spirit. Basically gifted to her. Granted, mc was already fully developed by then and getting another martial spirit would be unnecessary, but he was the one supposed to get Skydream. He basically forced Skydream Iceworm to sacrifice to his sister to make her strong enough to become Poseidon. After he had a whole chapter of convincing her that she needed to get stronger on her own and he couldn't help. Yeah, so I just dropped.
