Chapter 99: Fight fire with fire

The laboratory was not a place to work in until the damages to the wall were repaired. There were more research facilities in the building, but with how stressed everyone was by the Third Eye's attack, Eve decided to take a break and wash the blood from her head. She wished she had time to wash her hair properly, too.

Not only herself, Victor and her assistants were affected: the Third Eye left an impression on every person he mind-controlled to get to the laboratory without interruption. He put them all to sleep instead of freezing their bodies like he did to Eve.

That included the man she sent for sandwiches, which became victims of the gravity when he fell. That forced Eve to make herself new ones before she and Victor left to the commanding headquarters, because even if Eve made a break in research, there still were plenty of other things to think about it.

Not to mention that Victor still was Radiant Base's Chief.
