Chapter 136: I will hold the fort for you

She had been walking to Victor's office next day intending to report her progress on the testing of the anti-virus project and whisking him somewhere for a dunner, when she noticed them.

Protesters, again. A group of about thirty stood next to an unassuming square stone building. Besides their usual "Victor go away" posters, part of the protesters held ones with slogans of different meanings.

Eve made a step back behind the corner she just walked out from. From his safe position, she examined the posters. "LOUPE DID NOTHING WRONG", "Free the innocents!" and others with similar lines. Made sense, considering that the building they stood next to was the base's prison.
