Chapter 84: Persuasion

"Take a break from your work, Eve."

Eve closed her gaping mouth and gave Victor her best unimpressed look, before swatting his hands away from her face. She said nothing out loud, but let Victor read in her mind how little she thought about that idea when she had a world to save and a base to protect before that will be done.

Victor let his hands drop, but didn't give up and didn't back out. Now, instead of Eve's face, they cupped her waist, inching closer and closer towards the waistband of her pants. "Please."

Eve caught his palms in hers, stopping them before they went too far for her emotional comfort. For her physical comfort they didn't go far enough, but it was another story. She did have hormones, and Victor was great at awakening them. Eve scowled at him.

"I have more important things to do, Victor."
