Chapter 35: She was crafted by the gods

The palace was bustling with activities, especially the ballroom graced with vibrant colors and everyone in high spirits. 

Maidens from far and near were in attendance. Although some of them were guests who had come to witness the prince with a face blessed by the gods, the greater population had attended with the hope of catching the prince's eyes and hopefully becoming the queen.

As the crown prince, it's a known fact that Elijah would succeed the king once he was gone out of this world and the lucky maiden he chooses would become the queen of the kingdom. Hence, all the maidens wanted to be that lucky one. 

It had come as a shocker to the entire kingdom after the prince broke up things with Lady Elizabeth. If there was anyone ordained as the future queen, it was surely Elizabeth. However, that didn't happen since it's been two months since Elizabeth's death.
