Chapter 64: The Curse Bond

Embarrassment flooded her cheeks, how was this possible? This must be foul play at work. But then, no one had tripped her. It was a misstep. 

With a scream, Nessa jerked away from Damon's body as if she had stepped on molten acid. What in the world happened? A hot blush crept up her cheeks knowing that her face had been resting on his crotch seconds ago - even though it felt like hours. 

To make matters worse, her siblings had watched her miserable fall. Even though everyone was too shocked to laugh, Nessa knew her brother Adrian won't let her hear the end of it tonight - and the days to come. 

Nessa slowly met Damon's gaze and was stunned by the intensity in there. He almost looked as if he wanted to have her for dinner. She gulped, the red on her cheeks deepening. Nessa intentionally cleared her throat.
