Chapter 137: The Wedding

A tight tug at the root of his hair brought Damon back to consciousness. He winced as his muscles contracted; he could feel pain in various parts of his body and the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. 

He heard delirious laughter by his side which drew his attention. His eyes were so swollen that he could barely open them and each time he tried to squint, it welcomed extreme pain. 

Even though Damon couldn't see too well, he could recognize that voice even in his sleep - the bastard still wasn't done with him. He growled at Christopher when he gripped his chin tightly, inflicting more pain on him. 

"Funny, the devil still desires my company," Damon taunted him, hoping to knock all smiles out of his face.

He might be at a disadvantage with fists but he would be sure to annoy him to death with his words. And that seemed to work because Damon let out a sharp breath when he felt a heavy kick on his left rib cage, leaving him gasping for breath.
