Chapter 71: Would You Save Damon

The woman was joking, right? Nessa stared at her thoughtfully before it hit her. Oh no, Damon's mother wasn't here to have a conversation with her, she's here to matchmake her with her son. 

Wow, shocking, didn't the both of them hate each other? Why was she helping Damon? Does Damon even know about her intention?

At once, Nessa lost her appetite and she pushed her food away, "I'm sorry Mrs. Claire but -"

"I'm sure you know why I called you here," the woman dug into her steak unbothered, unlike Nessa who was becoming nervous. 

After taking a small bite, Mrs. Claire put down her utensils and pushed the plate aside, "Damon must have told you about the curse,"

"Damon didn't exactly need to tell me since you locked me up with him and the truth came to the limelight eventually," Nessa said, still bitter about that event. She was pissed off, it was almost as if someone had taken away her right and tossed her into this mess without permission.
