Chapter 143: You Broke The Curse

Damon's point of view:

So this is what it is to be dead.

Unseen. 

My soul was separated from my body and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't go back in. It was super frustrating and hopeless. I was unable to do anything. 

They couldn't see me but I could see them. People often said dead people rest in peace, but this was the opposite, my emotions - regrets, sorrows, and the rest of them - were magnified here. 

I watched Nessa, her tears made my heart arch greatly. 

"Damon!" She called my name. 

"Nessa!" I called back, wanting her to see me but nah. Nothing. I tried to touch her but my hands simply went through her as if I was made of air. I simply don't exist anymore. 

"Nessa," My heart arched when her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she lost consciousness. I watched worriedly as Red was put on a stretcher and driven away in another ambulance separate from the one my body was in.
