Aiden watched the Key fall ahead of him as he found himself plunging from a height into a pond of brackish water. He went under, with only enough time to draw a breath to hold. He was propelled further under the murky stuff as Ashala's full weight landed on him. He struggled to the surface, sputtering for breath, happy to be alive and well and in a world that didn't seem to present any immediate danger.
His relief was short-lived as a pair of hands latched onto his legs and pulled him under.
Aiden kicked to free himself, but with little luck. He managed to surface again once, the weight of the armor and boots pulling against him as much as his attacker. It took him a panicked moment to realize he wasn't under attack after all.
Ashala was drowning.
