Chapter 394: Searing Gaze

Due to the media and the turnout of Amerie's fans, they returned later than planned. Keira's luggage was placed in her room while she packed her saddle bag with books and her uniform. A firm rap on her doors paused Keira's advances towards the balcony.

"Keira, I'll be taking you to school today. I hear the crowds are back outside," Finn, her mum's trusted guard, friend and the pack's Delta, called from the other side of the doors.

"Thanks, Finn!" Keira called out, grimacing at the pang of guilt in her chest for what she was about to do. She didn't care AS much when it was Rex trying to guard her, but Finn was like an uncle, family that she didn't want to annoy or disappoint.

"I'll grab Chloe and meet you in the foyer?" Finn called out.
