Synopsis
In a world where might was magic, it was a crime to be a noble and magicless. And for this crime, the punishment was death.
I grew up frail, bullied by my older siblings, but I thought I could finally turn things around on my sixteenth birthday, when as a noble I was supposed to awaken my magical abilities. The awakening orb, however, turned grey—and condemned me a dud.
My father, a duke, could not believe he had fathered such a pathetic specimen. Calling me cursed, he ordered my death and had me thrown into a raging river.
I hit the water hard. For a moment I lost consciousness, certain I would never wake again.
But some time later, I opened my eyes to the agony of drowning, my body battered by the current. In front of me floated a curious blue sheet of light.
[Base Trait: Deathless Acquired]
[Condition met: You have experienced death.]
[You can sustain injury, drowning, burning, poisoning, and all forms of bodily destruction—but you will not die. Pain and damage will persist until fully healed.]
Thus began my journey—gaining outrageous traits from the suffering that seemed determined to follow me wherever I went.

Write a reviewThis newly developing light novel is an absolute gem and easily deserves 5 stars. The world-building is rich and immersive, drawing you in with layers of detail that make the setting feel alive and full of potential. The main character is written with depth and purpose, balancing growth, flaws, and strengths in a way that keeps you hooked. The dynamics between the characters are equally impressive—every interaction feels meaningful and contributes to the story’s progression. It’s rare to find a novel that captures both heart and intrigue this well. This series needs more recognition and absolutely deserves to be continued!
Excellent novel, it was having an amazing build up. But sadly it appears to be dropped. Sad indeed ...............................................
I knew I should have waited until there were more chapters. I simply put this novel in my library to one day bing read it. However, I was bored and decided to read it, and guess what, it was better than expected. Though it already had high expectations from me, simply due to how well the summary caught my attention. Oh, it sounds less like a novel and more like a book. More formal, more grammatically correct? I don't know how to explain it. Anyways, you should make it into a book if you have the chance
