Into The Deep

A black corvette sized ship was flying through space at max speed. A short distance behind the black corvette was a gray destroyer sized ship giving chase. Both ships were firing their weaponry at each other.
One could see the difference in technology on either ship. The gray ship didn't have any visible propulsion while the black ship did. Even the weapons were vastly different.
As time passed, damage was accumulating on the hull of the black corvette. One of the two rear engines was no longer working and parts of the interior were exposed. It was then that the ship started to warp and get blurry. The gray ship became slightly frantic and actually used all of its weapons.
Many of the shots hit the corvette just before it disappeared into warp time. The gray destroyer gave up the chase and turned around, leaving the battlefield behind.
