Chapter 1: 1. The Setting
Place: The story takes place Kingdom of Dionysus. The world is home to humans and other sentient creatures such as orcs, goblins, elves. Gods are also part of this world, each of them statues scattered around the kingdom. Magic also exists in the world but it is used by channeling magical objects or receiving blessing from gods.
Cities:
Dionysus biggest human city holding the royalty.
Celtia biggest elf city.
Main characters:
The kingdom is ruled by Dionysus familly, the king John age 59 togheter with his queen Cinthia age 41.
They have 4 children:
Catia, the oldest daughter age 23 and next in line to the throne.
George second born son age 21.
Maria third born daughter age 20.
Judith forth born daughter age 18.
Personality of main characters:
The king is beloved by his family and most of his followers, he rules by offering everyone an equal chance. He has a council which help with laws and settling disputes. His main focus now is preparing his children to take his place and make the kingdom a better place.
The queen by the law she is just consort to the king and not allowed to rule however this does not bother her, she loves her king and her children. She does however has her way of convincing the king to do what she wants, her motto ' why would i put myself to all the trouble of dealing with everyone when I can have all I desire'.
Catia being next in line to the throne knows has a big responsability on her shoulders. She has a tone of selflessness going to the point of doing everything in her power to make the kingdom the best place to live. She is also naive.
George is the second in line but that does not bother him knowing he probably won't become king made up his mind by becoming the richest person in the kingdom to this point he goes to make deals with the goblins and their mines.
Maria is more of a fiesty spirit wanting to become the greatest knight in the kingdom she practices and trains with the knights although she wants to train with other races as well such as the orcs known for their physical abilities.
Judith believes knowledge is the greatest power of them all, elves live far longer than the other races and naturally she wants to know if wisdom and knowledge of the elves is superior.
Affairs in the kingdom: The war between races was over for 1000 years, they learned how to live with each other but the keep to themselves not mixing with other races except for trading and solving issues. Being mostly a safe kingdom anyone can go anywhere without a lot of guards.
Elves are interested in magic knowledge.
Orcs more traditional believe in becoming their best version of the self through physical training and hunting.
Goblins more interested in making jewelry, inventions and money.
