"I'm not here to fight," claimed the Black Murami in a soft deep voice.
"Who are you?" whispered Hoefen back in a confused and adrift tone.
"Right now I'm working with the Shorebringers. And they are after your sword and that boy you travel with. I'll keep things short. You must leave this cave immediately."
"Why… Who are you? What do you want with us?" asked Hoefen, even more, confused, and lost.
"I fought their Boss. He is unkillable, untamable, unstable, unstoppable… But I found a way to end him, or to get rid of him only for a moment. But this moment will only last for as long as he is connected. For as long as the two parts exist. The only way to kill the Shorebringers Boss was to separate their souls, the body, and the mind."
"Wai… What are you…" Hoefen stopped and thought for a quick second, "You're telling me… It was Dom the whole time. He was the demon right?"
"Yes, and he is more than just a Demon."
"And you're also telling me that if we keep him far away from the Boss's body then we can save Dom and keep the Shorebringers Boss dead forever."
"The theory is prevalent, up in the air, a one in a million, but… I believe if you can get to the Grasslands… That will be the farthest, a one in a million will become a thousand, then a hundred. However, the closer the body gets, the stronger the attraction will be. We must exit this cave before the body gets too close."
"Then what are you doing, you can use that thing to get me to Dom, right?" asked Hoefen pointing to the Darkness Dagger.
Gin and Defune's voices echoed from the cave Hoefen just came from.
The Black Murami grabbed Hoefen by the shoulder, "I will take you there now."
Cloulo stood alone above the glowing water. He stared at his reflection. He turned to the loud voices above him. A loud explosion erupted on the wall to his left. Sish walked in with a glowing red rock and the Boss's half-dead body.
What are you doing here, Sish?" asked Cloulo as he sat alone.
"I found the sunstone, then I killed some lost archaeologists, then made my way here, but… Where's Black?" Sish asked back.
"He disappeared suddenly-"
"Hey Sish, Cloulo!" yelled Gin from up atop the cliff.
Defune swung out his hammer and hit the side of the rocky cliff, "gradibus!"
A staircase sprung from the folding rocks beneath the cliffside. Sliding, scratching, the stone assembled into a neatly organized staircase leading to the pool below. Dominus and Gin walked down to their Shorebringer colleges.
"So where to next?" asked Cloulo to Sish.
"We are to obviously find the Boss first, then the last piece of the puzzle, and finally we greet the Great Mountain Giant."
Defune flinched, he held tight to his Rock Hammer and closed his eyes. He remembered his past, his childhood, his adulthood, his lost family, his lost ways, his lost religion.
"Guys, by the way, I found a hole in the wall back up the stairs. There's some light coming from it," exclaimed Gin.
The Shorebringers climbed back up the staircase. They all looked at the crack in the wall, Defune smashed it open with grief and regret.
"Hoefen! Hoefen! Something's wrong with Dom!" screamed Giorgeo as he held an unconscious Dominus in his arms.
Hoefen quickly rushed over with the Black Murami, "it's the body, it's close."
He picked up Dominus and carried him on his back. He ran as fast as he could down the glowing cave, he ran as fast as he could until he was standing on the glowing spot. He looked down at a single plot of sparkling gold dirt. He carefully lowered Dominus to the ground and scooped up the gold dirt.
"What do we do now? What is that?" asked Giorgeo.
"I don't know? Black, can you get us out of here?!" worried Hoefen desperately.
"I can only get you back to the entrance of the cave, but that should be good enough for now. The Shorebringer should be on our tale as we speak."
"Then let's go!"
The Black Murami pulled out his Darkness Dagger and held it out to the sky. Hoefen grabbed a hold of Dominus. Giorgeo grabbed a hold of Hoefen and the Black Murami.
"Come on let's go!" demanded Hoefen again.
Black silently stood still, he looked down at Dominus with a grim stare. He fell forward and splashed into the dirty rocky floor. Giorgeo shined his torch over the laying Black Murami, he saw a knife stuck in his back, he saw blood flowing from the wound. Hoefen stood up to the sight of gin in the distance. Giorgeo slowly lifted Dominus and dragged him away from the scene. Gin walked up to the group and pulled out another knife. She aimed it at Hoefen, then at Dominus, and finally at Giorgeo-
She paused, "I know you!"
Gin stared at Giorgeo. Giorgeo stared at Gin.
"Do I know you?"
Hoefen quickly picked up his sword and jumped forward unsheathing it in a flash of light. Blue lightning shocked across the empty black scenery, everything lit across the sky in a burst of blue. The lightning flew like a gliding arrow, it flew and flew but once it reached Gin it missed, it didn't strike. Gin fell back in fear as Hoefen fell forward exhausted and tired from his previous fight an hour earlier. The rest of the Shorebringers arrived in the darkness. Gin stood up as Giorgeo picked up the Blood Cleaver with all his strength. He ran at Gin with all his courage. He swung at Gin with all his might. Gin swiftly spun around in a circle kicking Giorgeo across the stomach, sending him flying back to where he ran from.
Giorgeo flew back, he hit his head against a rock and fell unconscious to the ground. Sish, Defune, and Cloulo walked into the open cave, they all walked up to the glowing gold dirt. They all walked up to the unconscious body of Dominus and bowed before his unknowing excellence. Gin stood up confused and oblivious to the odd situation before her.
"Bow Gin!" blurted Defune from under his breath.
Gin stuttered in a fit of confusion and bowed like the rest of her colleges. Dominus woke up.
