The story follows an outcast of a prince named Prince Philip Tenebris Gladia, the crown prince who is known to be weak and incompetent. At a young age, he loses his mother to a mysterious heart attack. In later years, his father, the king sends him to a barren town and a royal quest, and the king orders him to develop the land once more. Once there, he is betrayed and left for dead but survives in some shadow-like void in which he meets his dark counterpart, his shadow.
Now fully revived and merged with his shadow, Prince Philip is met with emotional struggles, physical battles and interesting mysteries of the land, himself and his royal family.
