Su Ying pointed behind her. "The Empress rewarded us with two free laborers."

Xiao Jin frowned slightly. These two couldn't possibly be maidservants given their attire and bearing.

"You accepted them just because she gave you?" His voice carried a tinge of displeasure.

Su Ying glanced at him, her eyes seemingly implying, "Do you think I'm stupid?"

Xiao Jin's furrowed brows relaxed slightly.

"I asked the Empress to give me the money for their living expenses and sign a disclaimer before bringing them back." Su Ying took out the items and showed them to Xiao Jin.

When Xiao Jin saw them, his brows twitched violently. He said with a serious expression, "Do you know why the Empress gave you these two people?"

Su Ying nodded. "She said they are here to serve you."

"Do you know how they are supposed to serve me?"
