Now, Fel may have lost everything, but Skotos was hardly bothered. For him, everything was going according to plan. As it turns out, Fel's fall was captured within Skotos' plans.
You see, he had made a wager;
If Fel performed his quest, it would only be a matter of time before she was discovered and hunted down. She would be banished and forced to escape the Keeper Realms, and Fiyah, who loved her so, would run away with her!
With the Council hot on their tracks, they would have only him to run to. He would gladly take them in, offering them refuge and comfort in the Dark Realms, as the 'kind-hearted', 'benevolent' Keeper that he is.
And when he finally has Fiyah within his grasp, he would make Fiyah train under him "for free" as a beneficiary of his protection!
The plan was genius.
Until the Creator suddenly decided it was time to make Fel into a fallen god...
That was the one thing Skotos could not completely envisage. The one thing that could potentially throw apart his otherwise genius plans.
Apparently, Fel had gone far enough. After destroying a great part of his creations, The Creator would tolerate her excesses no more.
Still, his plan could work, that is, if Fiyah loved Fel enough to still follow after her in her fallen state. He was hopeful.
But Fel instead, pushed Fiyah away 'because' of her fallen state, choosing to fight through depravity alone. Like the strong-willed, independent woman she was...
Love was such an unstable determinant to wager on. Especially Fel's love. She was far too tough a woman. Too independent. Too cautious. It further ruined Skotos' plans.
His plan failed, and Fiyah did not come to him. Instead, Fel returned alone as a fallen god, cursed with the Creator's punishment.
A punishment of servitude, more accurately defined as "slavery" to the Dark, to teach her never to involve herself in dark practices ever again... that is, if she survived.
*Fallen gods, though they retained most of their divine abilities, their super strength and quick heal abilities, they were mortal.
They could die. Forever.
*Note that the Dark Realms are the various realms of the Dark, all under the control of Skotos, whilst the Dark Zone is a territory within the Dark Realms where Skotos, the Dark Lord, resides.
It is like the headquarters of the Dark.
Fell's fall did nothing to stop Skotos from trying to poach Fiyah. Rather it encouraged him. For every Keeper that used dark energy helped to expand the territories of the Dark Realm, and every Keeper soul that fell to depravity was a great benefit to the Dark, as they would be an addition to the forces of the Dark.
In other words, Fel was a great gain to the Dark once she began to use dark poison, especially as she claimed an entire galaxy with a great number of mortal souls (intelligent creatures and beasts alike) for the Dark.
Now that decimated galaxy, still poisoned with Dark poison, was automatically added to the territories of the Dark, and the depraved Fel herself, a powerful warrior, was added to the Armies of the Dark.
With such a great success as 'Fel', what could possibly stop Skotos from luring in more Keepers to the Dark with his deceptive, manipulative, underhanded ways?
Naturally, he went to work, trying to get more disciples whom he would train on how to use dark energy.
The more it is used, the greater the spread of the Dark Realms, and the more powerful he would grow.
At this time, Skotos had not yet been banned from the Keeper Realms and was still having a blissful love relationship with Fotia, as a loving father with two kids.
No one would suspect him of dabbling in dark practices. As such, it would be pretty easy to get trainees.
I mean, he was like a godd*mn saint!
Even his wife, Fotia didn't know what he was up to. Sure she didn't approve of his dark ways because she was literally the light, but she did not expect him to be perfect.
He was Keeper of the Dark. His job, his realm was dealing with dark things. Naturally, she lowered her standards of expectation.
But she never would have guessed, not in her wildest dreams, how evil Skotos really was. No one did.
What everyone saw was his brilliance, his efficiency and his prowess.
Skotos, Keeper of the Dark was reputed as a genius "S" rank; an excellent fighter, a proficient researcher and an expert scientist with unorthodox methods, as well as a loving father with an enviable love story, and a beautiful family that was just... GOALS.
Evidently, he cleaned up his act pretty well.
In fact, it was only when Fotia stumbled one day upon the alarming, undeniable truth that Skotos was involved in the "Galactic Genocide", as it was called, and that he even was the instigator, that Fotia first realised just how diabolical and evil that her husband; her lover, truly was.
She had been organising one day, and the door to Skotos' research wing and study was left open a crack, with a disorganised pile of scrolls, so she went in to clean.
Usually, she never really went into Skotos' research area, because it was usually tightly shut, and he seemed to be self-conscious about that area. He never let her in there, and she never thought much of it as she was never nosy.
But then, right there, in the disorganised pile, she found a "Contract", signed in blood, between Fel and Skotos, for the performance of the galactic genocide as payment for Fel's training in dark poison.
It was hardcore evidence. The truth could not be denied. Skotos was involved in the "Galactic Genocide", as it was called.
He was even the instigator!
Skotos had been out, busy with affairs of the Dark, as the perfectly delightsome, hardworking husband that he was.
Fotia seized the chance!
She picked up their twin kids, Gorak and Lilyak, and she ran.
