The beast, hurled itself at Ayo–did not give him chance for a breathe, picked him and slammed him into the ground.
Then it grabbed his face and raised him, snarling its razor sharp teeth at him, looking like it was going to have him for a thirsty dinner
Ayo shivered, thousands of thoughts ran around his head in the split second, mostly the things he regretted and how he should have done things better. The thoughts happened too fast to dive into details but Ayo could tell, he was was very unsatisfied with the life he had lived up until this point. Dying won't cut it for him at all.
He gritted his teeth and swirled the sword up, straightway stabbing it into the beast hand that was extending, holding him. To Ayo's surprise, the blade was lodged into its hand, protruding from the other side.
