Alison Brently, or Agent C as she was raised, was fired from the only life she knew. She was raised, molded and forced into a life of being a spy, by the best academy in the world and she still failed - all because she has the audacity to dream, hope and love. Thrust into a world she silently moved through but never experienced, she needs to learn how to cope.

Evan Martin, who is looking for more, but discrete, security since inheriting his father's company, takes Alison under his caring wing.

He takes her on adventures she missed during her time at the academy, while she escorts him to functions, obviously with her trusty butterfly knife strapped to her thigh.

But their bubble soon bursts when they realise that the academy and the world Alison left behind isn't quite done with her yet...
