Rejection Games

"I, Thea Aria Lester, reject Prince Ryker Kai Catomer" if I had a wolf it'd probably be hurting right now, instead my heart hurt.
Rykers black eyes filled with shock and sadness. I didn't want to do that, but I had to it was my only way out.
"You'll regret do that princess. Guards!"
I probably would regret it. I felt the strong pull of the guards on my shoulders towards the dungeon. The pain in chest grew once I could no longer see Ryker. I hated how much I'd fallen for him in only one dance. No wonder women were always falling for him. Before I knew it we were at the dungeons. The cell they threw me in was damp and smelled of piss. I saw movement to my right, I glanced over to see and older lady sitting in the corner.
"Why are you here" she asked glancing up to meet my eyes.
"I rejected my mate."
"That could get you exiled, why'd you do it?"
"Just for that reason to get exiled."
