I stopped breathing for a second. I had forgotten what it felt like to be around her. I didn't like it.
As soon as my breath came back I started hyperventilating, I couldn't feel anything but her presence and it drove me crazy.
I was about to follow her scent when Alice grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back.
Rion apologized and said he got her so she could calm me down.
I zoned out for a second focusing on her scent again until Alice tapped my shoulder.
"We should leave." I suggested.
Alice nodded and firmly took my hand to lead me out.
I zoned in and out of the conversation they were having as they rushed me out.
Rion walked extremely close to me as a block so I didn't bolt, and Alice held a very firm hold on my arm.
When Alice first met Kalum she lost control, and Rion had a very similar experience. They both knew first hand how bad an alphas control was and I knew it too. The only thing keeping me from bolting was the fear of becoming the stereotypical alpha's I hate.
I finally got myself fully back after a minute of running far from the party.
Then I hit my head.
Alice was the first to react and grabbed onto both my arms then Kalum wrapped his arms around my neck.
I sat confused for a second, then the smell hit me.
Her smell. I looked up and saw her looking down at me, she looked at me like she was shocked that she ran into me.
She backed up a few steps.
"I-I swear I was running the other way- how did I get near you? I was running the other way!" She stuttered.
Rion who was sitting next to me put his hand on my lap protectively.
"It's the mate pull. Get away!" He growled.
she looked at Rion strangely and took a step back hesitantly.
I struggled against Alice and Kalum who were keeping me still.
"Go now!" Lia yelled.
"Stop it now! I said no!" I yelled aloud. Alice knew who I was talking to instantly.
"Lia stop being a brat." she said leaving Lia fuming.
My mate still stood infront of us unmovable. I knew her wolf also had something to say about this situation.
We locked eyes for a good minute before her head snapped up and looked nervously behind me.
I could sense the presence of a beta pretty quickly and figured it was her alpha's beta.
When he approached I immediately calmed down.
When a strong presence that was unfamiliar I focused in on the on instinct.
Alice backed off and Kalum and Rion followed suit. I stood up calmly and stood infront the the beta. He was an older man with jet black hair like my mates and hazel eyes like my mate as well.
The pieces clicked pretty quick and I bowed my head.
Alice, Kalum, Rion, and the beta looked very confused.
"Hello sir, I'm your daughters mate." I said before she could even get a word in. His face lit up and he pointed at me while smirking at my mate.
"Raven! we finally found your mate! see I told you this dance was good! Now you can dump that girl and leave with your mate."
I looked back at her confused.
"What is he talking about?"
"I'm sorry papa." she said completely ignoring me "I met her a year ago. But I love Alia.'
I turned back to him as his sweet and excited smile turned angry and dangerous. His beta tone rolled out of him in waves and made Rion drop to the ground and Kalum kneel. Me and Alice stood firm.
"You will go back to your mates pack and leave Alia! Or you have no pack at all!" He yelled.
She froze. I felt a pang out guilt and hatred towards her all at once. I knew it was my fault she was being forced to be with us but also her fault for doing this to me and her father.
"Papa, no. I wanna go home."
"You have no home in my pack anymore until you finally get over this stupid thing with Alia." He spat back.
He walked over to me and grabbed my hands. I stepped closer to him as he whispered in my ear
"Please take care of my flower, If you harm her I may not win a fight against you but I will try." He whispered as he pulled away.
I smiled at the thought. He knew he was hurting his daughter but he also knew it was the best decision for her. I nodded and let go of his hand.
We watched as he walked away, and slowly my focus being fading and Alice tackled me.
