Stacey arrived earlier than expected. She stepped in the cafe.
She ordered a cappuccino and then sat comfortably on the chair beside the window. She checks her watch its was already ten minutes since she arrived at the meeting place. Thirty minutes and still nothing. No Harper in sight. She was getting all fidgety and her heart sank. Harper didn't even texted her if he's going or not. But suddenly, Stacey's heart pounded when she saw him right away in the entrance.
Harper's eyes narrowed down when he saw Stacey waving at him and was surprised how much she has changed, she was way more gorgeous and lovelier. But as usual her hair is still all tight up, like before. Then he remebered his past when they were in the fountain.
It was a snowy Sunday, Father Robert invites them in the basement of the church after the mass.
"Come with me to the basement, I will tell you something, "said Father Robert. And they descend on a spiral rocky staircase down the basement.
It was dark in the basement so Father Robert lit a candle and placed it on the wooden table.
"Sit down," Father Robert said as he led them to the table.
The two of them sat down and felt strange.
"Stay here for a while I will get a hot drink," said the priest and he went to the side where there was a stove and he heated a hot chocolate. While Father was busy heating the water, Stacey felt nervous.
"I'm afraid Harper, it might be scary, what he is going to tell us?" she mumbled as she wraps her arms around her, she feel cold.
"Shushhh, don't be afraid, let's just listen.
"Its so cold in here, I forgot my gloves in Dad's car," Stacey shivered.
Harper lend his gloves to her.
Stacey wears it and he wraps her arms again on her.
After a while, father returned and served hot chocolate and cookies, he sits in front of them.
"Since you saw that woman and your friend Stacey is already here, I have to tell you this,"
"What is it father?"
"Kids, this is a warning..." Father Robert seriously said. Stacey was a liitle bit playful. Harper tapped her shoulder so she could behave and listen.
Stacey and Harper nodded, though Harper felt a bit unease, and by looking at Stacey's facial expression, they both have the same feeling. And the fact that this is the first time Father Robert talked to them personally, most of the time he talks to their parents.
"In a few years or so, something terrible will happen to mankind. You need to be prepared and to inform everyone to prepare themselves for seven days of darkness. I know the two of you are still young to process all this, but you must know that there are three signs you need to remember,"
"Do you mean terrible things will happened to mankind in seven days?" Harper shook his head in disbelief. "Like end of the earth some sort of thing?"
"Not exactly, but whoever will believe will survive."
"You've got to be kidding, Father this is a joke right?" Harper giggled a bit still not buying what he's saying to them.
"You must listen to me!" Father Robert shrieks, showing the veins in his neck. "The two of you can save people!" Father Robert sharply said.
The two were stunned when Father Robert's voice went high, he was always composed.
"I'm sorry father."
"What...what are the signs, Father?" Stacey asked while her voice cracked a bit.
"Remember these signs...first sign will be the white wolf, second is the red moon, or when the moon turns red. When that time comes everyone should be prepared. Randomly people can see the wolf but not aware that it is a warning,"
"What is the third sign?" Harper asked,
"The mysterious girl that you met in the fountain,"
