The woman took out a handkerchief as she wiped the her hands," Let's go. By tomorrow I want all the information on this Draco."
"Okay." Came the reply. They all left the cabin. But unknown to the woman, her jade pendant had dropped off her pocket to the floor.
"WHAT THE HELL, DO YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAY HE WAS DEAD WHEN YOU ARRIVED THERE!?" Crystal asked slamming her hands in anger on the desk. "Leave us alone." Rachel, her friend, said to the trembling man who soon ran out of the cabin as soon as he was told to escape his boss's wrath. "Crytal, calm down. being impulsive won't help us in any way at the moment." Rachel said trying to her calm down while Adrian was furiously typing on his phone and Sophia was typing on her laptop. Both of them were completely unaffected by Crystal's behaviour. They already knew how Cystal would react hearing the news, so they already prepared themselves.
"Rachel ….I was so close….so close to my destination." Crystal said as her voice broke in the end as she fell down to her knees. Rachel crouched down to her as she patted her back. "It's okay. So what if one door is closed? We'll find out some other way. Don't worry." Three years. Crystal had been searching for three years. And a few hours ago she was so close to her destination but now she's again so far from her destination. Anger, frustration and pain was flowing through her veins she couldn't understand what to do. "Get up, Crystal. Sitting on the ground won't get you near the destination anyway." She looked up at the source of the voice. "Banup." "Get up first, Crystal. I have something interesting to tell you." Crystal slowly got back up as did Rachel. Banup walked towards the desk. Adrian and Sophia stopped working on their devices as they too walked towards the desk. Soon the desk was surrounded by then as Banup took out a jade pendant.
"Why are you showing us a jade pendant?" Adrian asked. "It's no simple jade pendant. It was found on the spot where the man was dead." "And?" Sophie butted in. "You know what? Let me finish first. Why are you both boyfriend and girlfriend so irritating?" He said making a sullen face. "Whatever. Continue...." Adrian said irritated now. "This jade pendant is not something simple. Crystal do you still have the picture of the jade pendant you gave to Christia?" "Yes." She said as she took out her phone, took out the picture and kept her phone on the desk. "Now look at both the pendants. Don't they look similar?"
"And? Are you saying Christia is the murderer? Are you out of your head? A kid? Seriously Banup?" Adrian said to him as he ran his fingers through his hair in frustration. "I am saying Christia is the murderer yet. Could have been that she lost the pendant and someone else took it. Our target is that someone. But still for just some satisfaction I want to match Christia's fingerprints to the ones found on the pendant. They don't match with the victim so there's some chance that it would match with that of the murderer. Crystal?" "Okay." She said. "Thank you. I think we all should go to our respective places now." Banup said. Crystal nodded her head, her mind still stuck in deep thoughts of could her daughter be the murderer or not. All of them left leaving Crystal and Adrian behind. As she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to look into Adrian's soft eyes, "Don't worry. I know I know that Christia isn't the murderer."
Crystal hummed as they too left.
She was seated inside the car as Adrian was driving it still deep in her thoughts. "Crystal? Crystal! CRYSTAL!" She woke up out of her daze as she looked at Adrian, irritated. "Did you listen to a word that I said till now?" Crystal was now confused. "You said something?" "I said a hell lotta but you were so busy thinking about something more important." "Sorry Adrian." She said as she looked out of her window and something caught her attention. "Stop the car!" "WHAT!" Adrian said as he pressed the brake making the car stop at once as soon as the car stopped, Crystal walked out. She stretched out her hand as a snowflake landed there. "Adrian! Come out it's snowing!" She said excitedly. As she jumped up and down as a kid wearing a big smile on her face.
Adrian came out of the car, he couldn't help but smile at Crystal's childishness. She happily jumped around forgetting about everyone and everything else. Then suddenly she heard a voice making her turn. "Crystal." "Rayn." She smiled her eyes now glossy as she saw him saw him spreading out his arms for her. She ran to hug him but as soon as she was about to hug him, he disappeared. She looked here and there trying to find him but she couldn't see him neither feel him. She closed her eyes as she was swept in another memory.
"MR. REYNOLDS! LOOK IT'S SNOWING!" Crystal shouted excitedly as she stretched out her hand, hoping a snowflake would come and hand on her palm. Rayn saw as he saw her wife being so excited for the first time. He kept his laptop aside as he slowly walked towards his over-excited wife as he hugged her from behind making her withdraw her hand a bit. He smiled at her reaction. He held her hand and he stretched out his hand along with her. Crystal's heart was beating like crazy. She turned her head around to look at him only to find him looking at her. With both of them lost in each other's souls they forgot about the snowflake which had already landed on their hands.
A tear slipped down Crystal's cheek as she opened her eyes. She looked up at the sky only to see her and Rayn lost in each other. "You are so heartless Rayn. When people said that before me marrying you I thought they were lying. But now I see you were really a demon without a heart."
