POV captured Scout: She asks her questions and I answer mostly correctly. I don't want to die just yet, but I'm not giving up my allies that easily. POV end.
Realizing he's not going to give me all correct information. I'll cross check it with that tablet later just to be sure. Ha ha I'm sure he thinks I'm to stupid for a back up plan.
As we conduct the "interview" I ask him where their base is and how many people are stationed there . Who's in charge and why their based at that location, what's their objective.
He answered me saying that their base was 3miles north from where the shack use to be. But that by now they would have moved for security reasons. I don't know if I believe him, apparently they number around 45 strong with a second lieutenant in charge.
Apparently there here just to guard this side of the valley from my side. Who ever that's suppose to be I mean I never got a brief on that. But I guess I'm listed as a soldier working for my family. That would make the most since.
Hmmm I'll have to figure this out later. For now it's Time to put him back to sleep. Walking behind him I start a choke hold nighty night Mr.Scout, its time to check your story out.
He struggles for a while, but I eventually get the correct amount of pressure. And out he goes slightly proud of my correct technique. I learned the cobra hold from a book I found at the orphanage. Now that I think about it there was a wide variety of books and knowledge there. Most of the random things I know came from reading all that stuff in the library there.
I go Garb the tablet and unlock it again. Flipping through the data I try and confirm anything the scout told me. Coming to an interesting folder called secrets I open it with anticipation.!!!..... ok closing that folder. There are some things a girl should just not see ever.
As I continue my search I finally find something useful. A copy of the scouts orders and check in schedule. It reads at 1400 hours Lance Corporal Salars and Private Durit are to investigate the Mortar bombardment site and track any survivors. Who are to be eliminated on site, check in is every hour If not completed a search party is to be deployed.
Looking at the tablets clock I note they should have checked in twice by now. So now I for sure have a search party no my tail now. But looking out side ether they will be delayed or they never left their base because of the wether. Which is good for me, plus the snow will cover any tracks which is even better.
The only other way would be through gps.....Realizing my major error I panic and search the tablet. Too my horror I'm proven correct, and discover not only the tablet but the snow bikes as well have tracking tags.
Slamming things around in frustration, I quickly turn the trackers off remotely. Looking for something to release my anger at I kick the captive in his thigh. Accidentally hitting his little bro, I never noticed but he did later.
Well now this puts me in a bind, my location compromised with a blizzard outside. With no alternatives in sight. I plop on the only beed In the room and try and get some rest. I'll worry when I can actually think straight. Closing my eyes I sleep, filled with the fatigue from this long drawn out day.
Else where in the sim unknown to Asa, her opposition was planing and ready to find and end her. A low hum could be heard as it slowly approached the location of the ranger tower. It was powering through the storm steady and firm, with a yellow glare to its eyes.
After a few hours of much needed rest Asa slowly came to aware. With the sound of wind and snow still in her ears, she could tell the storm was still going strong. Slowly lifting her head she took a moment to evaluate her situation.
In the corner the scout was still tied up, but he's now wide awake and looking a little pissed. Laughing a little she shifts herself of the beed and walks toward the front door. Taking a quick peek it seems dawn is not far away. But there is no way she will be above to move to another location in this wether.
The snow seems to be racking up quite a lot, just walking out the door would pose a challenge. Not to mention down the steps and to the bikes, that then have to be brushed off. This leaves me in a bad situation. This location is more that likely compromised. But I can't run or hide. At least the enemy should not be able to get to me with all the snow around.... I think.
But just to be safe maybe I should prepare a defense. With that in mind I set up my two confiscated rifles at the corners of the tower. As gun positions then I take all the explosives I can muster and organize them. I have two thermal grenades, 1 emp grenade, 3 remote detonation bombs and a smoke grenade.
It's not a lot but it's not a small amount ether I can work with this. Taking the 3 remote bombs I attach them to a grenade launcher at the bottom of one of the rifles. Then I start to cover the windows in an instant metal spray foam that I found in the scouts supply's. The stuff is amazing it just sprays on and puffs up in under a minute into a hard gray metal like material.
It's like instant cover in a can to bad I only have one can left. After using two on the windows. And of course I left space so I can see and shoot outside. Well I've done all I can now I wait for the storm so I can leave or wait for the enemy to knock on my door.
