Aiden Thomas thought he had done the right thing when he beat a man to a pulp, after witnessing him defile a young woman. He had always been raised to respect women, despite his player ways at the young age of 15. When the gavel fell, it sentenced him to 2 years in a juvenile detention hall, miles away from his hometown of Athens, Ohio, making it impossible to see any of his family or friends.
He knew he didn't belong there, but when the man you are up against has a powerful influence in the small town, he had never stood a chance.
When he returns home, he isn't the same. Nothing is the same. His large group of friends is riddled down to just two loyal friends, his father a sack of nerves, waiting for Aiden to explode. But he doesn't want to explode. He wants to accept that he is different, everything in his life will be different; and no one will understand.
