Caleb and Kathryn's eyes droop.
"What have I done??!" She mentally screams at herself. The poor girl must think she's going to be replaced because of the arrival of a baby.
"Honey, if you're not okay with it then we can reconsider it. We don't want to put you in a comprising situation at all." Caleb tries to reason with her but she's still in shock.
Now they really believe she's not liking the idea.
"Tara sweetheart, we just want to let you know that we'll always love you and we'll never be able to replace you." Kathryn covers Tara's hand with hers. "It's okay if you don't want—"
"Are you kidding me??!!" She squeals with joy after coming back from the moon. "A sibling??! For real?!!" And she's back to the moon again. "Why are you even thinking I wouldn't want one??! Of course I do!" She's glowing like the sun.... probably because of her powers.
Caleb and Kathryn are relieved that she's supportive of the idea.
"So info on the progress! Have the adoption papers been signed?! When is my little bundle of joy coming home??!" She's almost in their faces as she bombards them with questions.
"Relax baby girl!!" Caleb calms her down and chuckles, "You're just as excited as Kat was when I told her about it!" He gives a hearty laugh. "We wanted to ask you first before we did anything."
"Well, stop wasting time! I want my little Angel in my arms as soon as possible!!" She's glittering and Caleb and Kathryn could clearly see it, "I'll feed her, and clothe her..." She makes a cute baby out of her napkin and snuggles it, "...and we'll have so much fun together!"
Caleb and Kathryn take mental notes when she kept saying 'her'.
"And then I'll give her to Brett so she can bite his nose and scratch his face off!!" She gives a cynical laughter, petting her 'baby' like a mad scientist petting his creation. "And I'll also teach her how to kick Vivian's butt." That one came out very low but it definitely gave her some peace.
Caleb and Kathryn look at her with bulging eyes and exchange looks. She was turning evil just at the arrival of a baby. They laugh it off, glancing at each other before they chorus. "Teenagers."
The school bell rings and Tara is walking like a princess into the large building, her golden hair resting and swaying gently with her movements and her golden orbs penetrating souls and focus.
In simpler words, she was getting attention.
"Yo Tara, looking golden! Morning!"
"Morning Tara, why'd you dye your hair? You look great though!"
"New look, new girl! What's the occasion Tara?"
And there were many more, everyone was greeting and paying compliments and she felt special, but she had questions to answer.
"I just wanted to try something new, that's all." She nervously replies the crowd that had gathered around her, making her slightly uncomfortable.
"You look amazing!!"
"Thanks, you guys!" She slips out and heads to her locker only to see Vivian typing away on her phone beside her locker with a black current flavoured lollipop in her mouth.
Her brows furrow and she storms over. She opens her locker and grabs some books, glaring daggers at Vivian. She slams the locker shut, grabbing Vivian's attention.
Vivian turns to Tara, her eyes slowly widening in realization and shock before being flooded by a sly intention accompanied with an evil smirk.
"You've changed." She couldn't hide the worry that was in her voice and Tara noticed.
"Yeah, no thanks to you." Tara scoffs at her.
"But you should be thanking me, I helped you after all. Let's say I was your little inspiration?" Vivian is coy and laughs as she twirls her hair in her finger.
"You've been nothing but trouble Vivian and I've had enough of you. You just picked a fight with the wrong girl." Tara replies her.
"And what will you do about it, hmm?" Vivian is testing the waters.
"I won't say, I'll let you drown In the suspense." Tara says in a flat tone and leans closer. "But I'll give you a warning Vivi, watch your back very closely, you're not safe anymore." Her eyes flash a golden yellow before returning back to normal.
It scares her but she smirks, removes her Loli and clicks her tongue before walking away. She seethes, burning with anger. Tara has obviously become stronger, now she really has to watch her back.
"I have to find Brett." She looks around for him after the thought of his smile crossed her mind, she smiles a little and sights him looking for someone.
Looking for her.
She sneaks up to him and gives him three taps before covering her face with her palm, he turns around.
"Surprise!" He's greeted with her beaming smile and it's blinding for some reason, he couldn't stop staring at her. She was beautiful. Gorgeous. Radiant.
She was like the sun.
"Woah.....Tara...you're different...." The words just begin flowing.
She pouts cutely and folds her arms. "A good difference or a bad one?" She was clearly pulling his strings and he could see it.
He laughs nervously as he rubs the back of his head sheepishly.
"It's good! It's good! You're just....." The words seem to dry up.
"Just what?" She moves closer to him with a smirk.
"You're so beautiful I don't know how to explain it." His eyes dilate and hers sparkle, "It's like you're glowing."
"Oh stop it." She waves it off with a light blush.
"I'm serious! You're literally glowing!!" His funny hand gestures makes her laugh. "Heck if I didn't know any better I would say you're an Angel!" He laughs at his own joke and Tara is a nervous wreck. She laughs uncomfortably.
"Uh yeah, I wish.... pssh!" Her eyes shift around the hallway, "Hey we need to get to class!" She quickly changes the topic.
"Sure Angel." He winks at her and she couldn't help but melt because of that. He holds her by the waist and they walk to class together.
