Chapter 13: Chapter 13+alert
Moon's POV
I groaned in pain as my head throbbed. I felt a strong arm around my waist holding me to a soled chest. I opened my eyes a sliver and looked at my surroundings, I was back in Sun's room, he was laying behind me. I turned around so I was facing him, I studied his face and saw bags under his eyes. I sighed and ran my thumb lightly over his face as I watched him sleep peacefully.
I stayed like that for a few minutes when I heard footsteps coming from the kitchen. I shot up and walked towards the door. Just as I was about to open the door to see who was inside the house, my legs gave out and I fell to the floor. I groaned as I rubbed my knee that had taken the brunt of the fall. I tried to stand back up using the wall as a crutch. I looked back up the door when two arms rapped around my waist and picked me up off the ground. I looked behind me and saw Sun, he berried his face in the crook of my neck and held me close to him. I sighed as he started to walk back to the bed putting me back on the bed, He showed me to keep quiet by putting one figure to his lips. He then left the room.
I got nerves when there was no sound from the intruder or from Sun. I decided to stand up and slowly walk to the open door the lead to the hallway. When I got to the door I looked to my left where the kitchens doors were open. I walked slowly and softly. Half way to my destination I heard a low growl from behind me. I turned around to see a large dark figure. I looked in fear as I started moving backwards to get away from the large figure. I felt my back collide on something hard. I stood like a deer in head lights looking up at the tall figure. I was about to scream as the figure stepped forward into the light that shined through the small opening from one of the windows slightly open curtain. I closed my eyes in fear.
Two strong arms rapped around me as I smelt the familiar sent of fresh cut grass and cinnamon. "Shh its okay Moon, I'm here." Sun's soft voice rang in my ears as I felt my self being ingulfed in warmth. I berried my face in his chest as I shook my head. I heard a chuckle from the large figure. "Sorry didn't mean to scare you...hey, you okay there?" The unfamiliar voice spoke, I peeked at the tall figure to see a smiling face. I hid my face back in Sun's chest as he laughed softly still holding me, "Moon, this is my dear friend and third in command Wild. Wild this is my mate and your new luna Moon." Sun said softly. I decided to come out of my hide out and looked up at the tall dark skinned man. He looked friendly and smiled, "Good to finally meet you luna, sorry if I gave you a scare back there." I sighed and spoke, "H-Hi, sorry about that...I was just a bit nervous."
We went to the living room and talked for the next two hours. I learned a lot about Wild, he has a mate called Luke and they have two adopted kids, the oldest was ten, Lilly and the youngest was three, Mike. Wild's dad was the third in command for the last leaders. What I found odd that I realized was that no one said the past leader's name, they barely even mention the last lune. Maybe something bad happened....Sun would tell me if it was important.
Wild left to go back to training. Sun made me some pancakes with blueberries.
After we ate and got dressed for the day Sun decided we would go out on a date for the day.
We got into his truck and he drove to a small town. I had a sheltered life from the outside so going into a town or shopping center was something I had only done once or twice. When we got to the small town we pulled up to a theater. Sun had wanted to watch a horror story. I was not so please when he chose a horror, but after the first thirty minutes of the movie I started to get interested and watched the storyline carefully.
When the movie was over we decided to get some ice-cream and walk around the small town. We walked into stores and bought a few things. When the sun started to set and our ice-creams were finished we headed back home, I fell asleep in the truck as Sun drove back to the house.
And today was one of my favorite days cause it was another one I spent with my mate.
