Xie Yan was an orphan who died after saving his friend from a car accident.
But after waking up from what felt like a long slumber, he found himself chosen as a candidate by a being called the Gifted System, an entity offering him the opportunity to become its Host, which also meant a second life.

Determined to reunite with his friends, Xie Yan lunged himself onward to complete the System's test.

Instead, the story we follow tells the event after he had passed the test, proving himself worthy and becoming the System's Host. And now, finding himself transferred to a world of cultivation. He must gather enough points in order to return to Earth.

But as he face many challenges and moral dilemmas in this new world, one wonder if he could ever return home.
