Chapter 22: The Culture Festival Begins
after the announcement of the beginning we started preparing ourselves for the costumers
"welcome home msster"
the first two guys yo enter are people I recognize, they're bodyguards disguising as costumers to make sure Emma is safe.
the funny thing is that Emma doesn't know that so she just proceeded to welcome them normally, being called "master" by your master must feel really weird
"Sawano-Kun please make two omurices please!"

most of the boys are outside bringing costumers while the rest are working in the kitchen.
it seems a little bit of a waste to not use boys for serving too, maybe cross dressing?
after less than an hour the cafe is reaching it's maximum capacity thanks to Emma's great work, but Suzuki too is attracting a good amount of people. and most importantly-
"Wow~ the food is great"
I don't mean to brag but my cooking skills are greater than any other cafe

everyone is getting tired really quickly and we don't have enough maids, just as I thought about it a light of hope appeared

she handed the wig to someone and ran to welcome the next costumers, sadly they weren't good people, I only recognized one of the three guys entering the cafe, Shinohara something I don't really remember his name but he was one of the boys I beat in the karaoke, did they come for trouble?

thank god they're not searching for me!

I thought Suzuki would be scared in moments like this, but surprisingly she's acting very cool about it

"costumer is a king that'show you work right? so bring me the guy and we will buy something"

a girl with long black hair stood between them, she looked beautiful at first, but her voice reminded me that she was a he

Suzuki too noticed his identity, but for the guys he wasn't anything but a girl with a weird voice

tgey started laughing immediately, but Makoto didn't care at all he was completely ready to fight
he doesn't have the strength to fight but won't hesitate to go for it when he needs to
"Enough jokes, move away"
I really need to help them now, but my senses aren't activating at all, aren't they in danger?
suddenly the big guy got thrown away by a guy in a black suit, it took me a moment to understand
"I can't believe young people can go so low"
an old man with a gray hair walked through the door confidentially

he was Watanabe Satoru, Emma's father and my boss, I can't believe a busy guy like him made time to come to school

he moved his jaw and the three boys were taken care of immediately

Emma ran to talk to her father with a bit of excitement and confusion, but his face didn't change at all

he's so strict, or so I thought he's definitely enjoying it there's a hidden camera in his suit and his smileis obvious no matter how hard he tries to hide it. that's actually creepy...
"good work, I came here to see how the work is going, and the first thing I see is a problem, unbelievable"

Makoto is tge type of guy who will intervene in family problems without feeling anything

boss didn't pay much attention, he already noticed that they're causing trouble to the other customers
I sighed and continued working, I don't want to interact with anyone anymore. Suzuki took her break after what happened, I really have to apologize to her later.
"who's that new girl?"
"I don't know, but she really saved us"
most people aren't focusing enough to see that Makoto is a boy, I'm really happy that the Idea worked well.
nothing happened for the rest of my shift, and I took my break about an hour before Hiragi-senpai's event, I still have some time so I decided to check what the other classes are doing
"It's kinda lonely walking around alone..."
"I'm right here though"
a girl in a ghost costume walked beside me, based on the voice I knew she was Kiriyama
"your class is doing a haunted house?"
"yeah, I hate wearing this but since everyone is excited I couldn't refuse"
"they should've let you participate without a costume, your normal face is way scarier than a ghost"
shit punched my stomach, she isn't cute at all why would she use violence every time she has the chance to?
"my break is over so you should try out the haunted house, I'll make sure that you shit yourself"
"that's a good offer, but going to a haunted house alone is scarier than the thing itself"
"you think about it too much, but yeah it's only for pairs so you can't come alone even if you want"
"maybe if I had a girlfriend"
"don't think like that, you'll just start imagining a life where you weren't rejected and having fun with your boyfriend and eating together and then...."
I just walked away leaving her to continue her delusions, after some time I reached the final place I wanted to check

the club room was filled with books so it was obvious we didn't sell much
"how did Makoto react?"
"we didn't expect much at all so he really was happy everytime someone bought anything"
it doesn't matter if you succeed or fail, as long as he was satisfied it should be a great experience for all of us
"what about Hikari-chan? is she ready?"
"yeah, she did her best for today, and I have something to try too"
Hiragi-senpai's play is going to start soon, and the festival's end is coming too.
as I thought about it everything was ready for the next and last event
"Oh right Chi-senpai, do you want to try the haunted house?"
