This sounded important, and my instinct clued me to give Kian's way a shot, whether my pride liked it or not. "Alright, once you arrive call me, I'll come to you."

"Okay." He sharply said then disconnected the call, too soon before I could ask him about rescheduling our date.

Well there wasn't anytime to dwell on that, I wouldn't be able to focus on nailing Kian with a killer in my pack. Maybe this was the best. For now.

Steve looked like a fucking mess, the guy could barely stand and his shoulders kept shuddering. His reaction gave off the impression that he cared deeply for Kat. Maybe even more than just friends.
