I noticed the surprised glint in Kian's eyes when I admitted that he was my mate, he, just like everyone else expected me to deny it, but I couldn't.

And when he retracted his hand from the back of my head, it took all of my restraint not to hoist him off the floor and march straight to my bedroom. Carol had reminded me last night over the phone that Kian's condition was in no measure better. I had to control myself and see this through to the end.

"But." I sharply interjected, "Not for any longer, because I have a Luna, so it only makes sense that I get rid of everything else that stands in the way of our relationship."
