It was a setup from the start? But I did recall seeing those people get shot. The Davien I knew would never place the lives of others at risk like that.

"Why would he need to do that? I don't understand."

Marcus reached into his suit, judging from his clothes he might've just gotten back from council headquarters. He pulled out a piece of paper and passed it to me.

I swiftly skimmed through it, unsure of why he was giving me this, until I got to the very end.

"What the hell are these conditions?!" I angrily spat out.

"The Tribianni pack want three things. Your head, the main source of Ashenwild and Davien. Davien's plan, was to have both your deaths faked, to take the heat off of you both and the pack." Marcus explained.

"That means that the third condition is Carol." I pointed out.
